Time

When my brothers and I started to develop an itch for entrepreneurship and the business world, one resource that has been absolutely vital to my growth is, TIME. Without time, it would be impossible to make any progress, to adapt, to learn, to grow, to achieve success, or to live the life we dream of.

What do I mean by time though? After all, it is an abstract idea that is relative to ourselves. It also is a concept that the world runs on. Time is a unique resource that most people underestimate the value of.

How many people do you know who wake up every morning to browse the web indefinitely, watch and share videos or content, drag on their sleep until they have to get up... We have all been there. I am guilty of being this person from time to time.

We all have to come to a point in our lives where we have to realize that there's a limit to all of this; at least, there should be.

Let's consider this: If we have 24 hours in a day and generally speaking we get 8 hours of sleep, we can assume we are awake for 16 hours in the day. However, cut out the daily routine activities of getting ready for the day, preparing meals, eating breakfast/lunch/dinner, travel (if this applies to you), work, spending time with family, friends, watching TV, playing games, or doing other hobbies, we are left with little else to truly develop ourselves.

Out of all the hours in the day, do you find time to be developing yourself? To be conducting personal research on how to be a better salesperson, marketer, writer, singer, cook, leader, speaker, barista, server, sales associate - or - whatever your passions are!

If your work is your passion, that's wonderful! But, if you are like millions of people around the world, doing work that does not bring you joy, why aren't you doing all that you can to grow out of that and into something that you love? Why aren't you honing your skills where your passions lie?

Don't wait for the perfect time to do whatever it is that you've sought to do. There is no better time to start than now. So pick up a skill that you've been wanting to get better at, open your ideas to new opportunities you've been hoping for, train for the job you've always wanted to have, grind hard until you start up your own personal business you've always wanted to have and achieve your version of a "perfect" life.
